(S)tack (L)oot (D)ivide "SLD" was born and raised in the housing projects of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He began Freestyling around the age of 16 for fun and grew a deep passion for the art. He found his inspiration in such artists as Busta Rhymes, ODB, 2Pac, Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man, Biggie and could often be found mimicing these artist.
Over the years SLD used his music as a coping method for many of life's struggles and learned to use his talent in a positive way as an outlet to control and channel his anger and emotions. SLD continues to work constantly towards his Music career.
That's where Garreth "Stahmenah" Warren of owner of Stahmenah Records, a small indie label out of Halifax comes in. With the help of Garreth and after signing with Stahmenah Records, SLD has released his first EP from his debut album "Now it's time" worldwide online. With his smooth flow and witty rhymes, SLD plans to take the world by storm.
